Similar to the setup I used but I didn't get it from there. I had to use an extension to get the fuel gage out past the end of my FRC's, then used a 90 deg as in that kit and angled the gage toward the PS fender.

I used a Marshall liquid filled chrome gage with engine turned face - don't know the brand of that gage, hopefully it ain't one of those cheapo chinese versions...

Good thing it's not your car then - usually get that reply from people that don't have any $$ to spend on their car, so that's the excuse they use to keep everything stock. Everyone to their own.

I built this car not only for speed, but as a show car. I know what people voting like to see - plain or stock engine bays in new model cars don't win trophies - flat fact. People will usually just walk right by newer cars at shows and ignore them if they are bone stock, no matter how pristine they are. Attitude is that there was no work involved restoring, and it's easy to have a perfect car if it's new. Now keep that 60's series musclecar completely stock and you're golden.

Guess it worked - as I have (16) 1st Place, (7) Best GM, (8) People's Choice, (3) Second Place, (1) Best Sounding Exhaust (thanx GMMG) Trophies, had my car on cover of magazine and in a calendar, lead car in 4th of July parade...

No polishing involved though - it's all chrome

Thanx!

All the caps started out as MBA Polished versions, then I had them all chromed so there would be no maintenance in keeping up the polished finish, then I had the guy that does all my decals make me exact duplicates of the logos/text that were on the factory caps in an 'etched look' vinyl and applied.
