Could a low speed collision take out a 10-bolt?
The other day some old lady hit my car while trying to park, crack the rear bumper (dont care, it was already busted and now its being fixed on their bill). But now im getting gear whine on the highway, the car doesnt seem to rev up nearly as quick (car feels slower) and most importantly its turned itself into an open diff. What do I do to make sure they pay for it? And any money they drop on it im gonna go with a 9" or S60. Any ideas?

Shouldn't be to hard to get taken care of since your car was parked when it was hit that means the gear took all the shock of the impact straight on..As far as getting a 9 inch or dana out of the deal I can't see that most likely the body shop is gonna fix the body then send it straight out to get the rearend looked at and its got to be apart to diagnose so they will have to fix it before you get it back..Just my experience with insurance companies anymore they don't let go of loose cash like they used to

Yeah im pretty sure she took out the rear end though, like the gear teeth broke or something it doesnt pull nearly as hard. The body shop is pretty cool, theyre gonna do whatever they can to help me out and if the insurance does throw some money for it ill just put it towards a new rear.
