The only issues you may run into is with the ABS system and the parking brake.

LS1 cars use either 3 channel or 4 channel ABS. The way to tell is by looking in the top of the differential, 3 channel cars (no traction control) will have an ABS sensor in the top of the diff, 4 channel (traction control) cars won't have any sensor in the diff, but it will have sensors at each wheel. I'm not familiar with the ABS system the LT1 cars use, but if its the same setup with the same plugs as the 2000 rear you have, you shouldn't have any problems with that.

The other issue is the parking brake system. LT1 cars use an emergecy brake that is built into the caliper, LS1 cars have a drum built into the inside of the rear brake rotor. Not sure of the cables will be interchangeable with the two different brake systems, you'll have to check it out.

+2 on the ABS.

To add You cannot re-use the E-brake cables from your LT1 setup you will need the LS Cables just from the middle of the car back you don't need to replace the interior cable. Also make sure you get the brackets for them that bolt in at the rear control arm.

I Swapped and it was a Huge difference from my LT1 setup, biggest notice was in the parking brake setup!

You will have to fab up something for the brake lines: 3 channel used one line splitting to each side, 4 channel used 2 lines, 1 going to each side.

Also see this thread: https://ls1tech.com/forums/gears-axles/617761-converting-4-channel-3-w-pics.html

Now is a good time to consider a brake line upgrade to Earls braided lines or something similar since your going to be in there anyways.

Will be if you want to run your ABS. If not then it shouldn't matter.
