new to the 10 bolt
i just picked up a spare 10 bolt just incase something happens to the old ones, now i know almost NOTHING about rearends, axles and **** like that so i figured i would ask, One axles is sticking out. If i wanted to i could pull the whole axle out, if i try to push it in, it wont go in all the way. Is there something wrong with the rearend that I have? Or am i just not doing something right?

Carrier could be busted and c cilp could fell off inside. You really need to remove the rearend cover. Its just the ten bolts and cover will come right off. You may have to use a screw driver to pry the cover off.

ok took off the cover, worked the axle around and got it in all the way, now i realized that one side is in there good and wont come out, the other side that i got in all the way can slide out with no problem, should there be something holding it in place?

Yes, a c-clip. At the end of the splines there is a groove in it for the c-clip to slide on. You have to removed the metal rod that goes through the carrier to get the clip off and on. The is a 8mm or 5/16 bolt that holds the rod in the carrier.
