Default what ratio ???

hey everyone all my mods are in my sig. Im planing on doing a moser 9 inch rear end swap this coming winter. have a question on which gears i should be running im not to sure what i will need. my current best time on this setup is a lame 13.36 at 109. thats with my stock 342's. I also plan on running a set of salad shooters with M/T slicks not sure yet what size tire, but it's a 16 inch rim. what gear will work without over rpming my car. my rev limit will be 5800rpm. also what type of diff should i run. the car see's both street and strip. Thanks

Go 4.11's and never look back. I love my true-trac diff., I come thru the traps at 6000. See sig. 3.42's to 4.11's = holy s**t!!!! Stay with a 26" tall tire, and bump your rev limiter to 6200 -it'll be greeeeeeasy!

well just plan ahead on what else you want to do to your car and where your power will be, I have 4.11's on my moser 12 bolt, and im putting down around 450 RWHP and I need to go to 3.73's since im hitting the rev limiter at 6200 rpms at the 1/4 mile trap.

would I be in forth gear thru the traps if I went with a 3.73 gear? I don't plan on any more mods to this engine until my stock bottom end starts to get tired. Which won't be for a few years I hope.

then I would go with the 4.10's. I loved them on the stock rear when I was in the 3xx hp range.

I just ordered my strange 12 bolt with 4.11's. I've heard great things for opting to go with 4.11's with the M6's. So, plus one in my books for 4.11's.

I agree, I would go with 4.11's at your horsepower level. Bob

I currently got my nine inch installed and I'm running 3.90 gears. Love it around town so far. Once its nice and broken in I'll hit the track. I'm a m6 and puttin down 450rwhp.
