Exclamation 1344 u joints??????????

is the 1344 the stock joint front and back for a 2002 M6 camaro???

summit says its a 1344, but others say its a 1310. i want to order new spicer u-joints for a STOCK driveshaft and STOCK rearend.

any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Mechanics 1345 series the the ever so common GM inside snap ring u-joint. The 1310 series is an outside snap ring and is smaller all the way around.

I once found a sheer chart listing all the different u-joints made, the 1310 is weaker. The stock joint in a steel shaft is near equall to the 1330 joint in sheer strength.

There were 3 different driveshafts available from the factory,steel LT1,alum 1LE and alum LS1. The 1LE is the only shaft that uses 1310 joints.
