Default Should I buy this rear?

I have a 01 Z28 with 72,000 miles. The car is an A4 with a stock 10 bolt. The car has all bolt ons, small cam, and 100 shot. Car runs 11.09 at 124.8 with a 1.91 60'. I want to but MT ET Streets but everyone says my rear will blow first run. I have a buddy selling a stange 12 bolt for $1500 with 3:73's. Do I need the larger rear, is it a good deal, and also what should I look for if I check it out?
Thanks

Is the rear set up for the f-body? If so I would say go for it.

More than likely the 10 bolt wouldn't hold up very long with those tires on it. The 12 bolt sounds like a good deal...make sure it is ready to bolt in, has no leaks, make sure the posi or spool is in good working order, check for any movement in the pinion yoke, etc. It probably has a 1350 yoke so you would have to convert your stock DS u-joint as well. Good price... well worth it.

As long as its set up right for an F body and doesnt whine it would be better for you, thats a good price. I dont think your 10 bolt would break on the first run but it for sure would not last long.
