Default Rearend question.....

I have a 9 inch rearend being bulit now....i am running 15X10 7.5 bs prostars........ Does any one know how much the rear could be narrow with out tubbing or have any extreme mods done.... some say 2.5 inchs each side is this True?.................also a m6 with 4.30's with plans to run a 150 shot is this to much gear? some one please help....

Without tubbing it, you are limited. I had my rear built one inch shorter per side, and I am running 15x10 with 6.5" backspacing. You still need to keep the tire in the same limited amount of space when you're not going to tub it.

The 4.30 gear will probably be too steep unless you are running a lot of rpm through the traps. I'd go with 4.11 gears with a 28" tall tire. Bob
