Default Torsen T2R.. questions

The more torque-bias a differential has, the better it will be able to eliminate any chance of inner wheel spin during a corner. T2 models are designed with approximately 2:1 bias ratio, and T2R with 3.5:1 to 4:1 bias ratio.

Aside from cost, is there a downside? I believe there is a strength difference between the units as well..

No downside. The only complaint at all is if you are turning real hard ( say a 90 ) from a stand still and taking off slow, the diff will 'creak' as it tries to apply torque evenly. But the noise is extremely minimal; you may not notice in my car unless I point it out.

Thanks Viper.. checked out your site, one sweet car. Did you do the T2R install? Who was your supplier?

I got a T2R from Sam from stranoparts. Had my local shop do the install. I love how it feels when you power out of a turn!

From Sam at Stranoparts.com; I did the install with a friend who knew what he was doing.
