Default Swapping to 4.10's have a couple questions

I have an M6 with 3.42 gears and Traction Control. My friend has a set of used Motive 4.10 gears out of his Camaro that I'm looking to buy. His car is an auto and came with 3.23's with no traction control.

From what I've read I have a 3-Series carrier and the TCS makes mine a 4-Channel rear and his is a 3-Channel.

My question is what do I need to in order to make the gears work in my car.

Thanks!

his OEM 3.23 is 3 series, your OEM 3.42 is 3 series, channel style(3 or 4) has nothing to do the gearset. It should be a normal gearset swap.A regular 7 5/8 rearend rebuild kit,set pinion depth and lash.

What he said is correct. 3 Channel=ABS, 4 Channel=ABS+TCS. 2/3 series carriers have to do with the ratio of gearsets that can be installed on them.
