need help, want to buy 9'' ?
i have a 2000 camaro ss and want to order a 9'' this week,and need help selection the wright one for me , i want to drive the car on the street and to work some times, 30 miles each way, the cars mods are th400 ,4400 stall,cam 150 shoot ect, is a spool ok on the street,also want to run a 10inch rear rim so should i get the two inch shorter one for a third gen and will my ls1 brakes work .one more thing i have 373s with a 28'' tall tire should i stay with a 373 thanks for your help

You could also check with Bob @ EPP on the Moser's.

The LS1 brakes are what you want to use, so you're good there.
I went one inch shorter on each side with my 9 inch rear, and went with a 6.5" backspace with 10" rims on my '99. I'm not sure what the standard backspacing is on a 3rd gen but it is 7.5" on a 4th gen. A 10" rim also fits on a 4th gen with a standard 7.5" backspacing on a full width rear. The sticky at the top of this section regarding wheels may hlp you out.
I'd go with the 3.70 gears with the 28" tall tire.
