Default just another rebuilding rearend topic...

hello all, now i know its absolutely forbidden to "BEEF"up a 10bolt 'round these parts, but I just want a newer rebuilt rearend. I do want the grunt but dont really need a 12bolt nor a 9inch. whats a good setup. Some info: A4 2000 T/A I would like 373's and possibly a mini spool. Also what is ALL required for a full rebuild. Thank you much your help is greatly appreciated.

What gears are in it now?GU2=2.73,GU5=3.23.What are your mods/power level?Are you running a stock or aftermarket convertor?
It's not 'forbidden',just that most know the OEM 7 5/8 10 bolt doesn't hold up to the conditions we like to operate under.
Having an A4 helps.

GU5/full bolt on/stock convertor(for the meantime)

Get a Micronited (spelling???) Ring and Pinion; $300 and I cannot break them - this is a guy who's gone thru 4 sets of gears.

Oh, get Strange Axles and a thick Al rear cover - those and solid Spicers and it'll hold up pretty well...

Only if you're foolish enough to spend $$$ on a 10 bolt!
