I have seen them all over Ebay or on the "For Sale" forums here. If you want to buy new Summit sells the Inland Empire's. I would look into a used one before I coughed up the money and bought new. Before installing a used one I would be sure it's balanced before putting it on.

I've got a PST 3.5" aluminum driveshaft from Exotic Performance Plus and it's held up great to my high RPM clutch dumps and track abuse. I'm not making insane power, but I run consistent 1.6 60's on 10.5 ET Streets launching from about 5000 RPM.

It comes with a lifetime warranty, so I see no reason to spend more money than that unless you're making crazy power or looking for the lightweight of the chromoly.

^^^Same here. I'm also making 5500-6k clutch dumps with mine on 11.5 ET streets without any issues.

I'm in the same boat as nastyiroc and need a replacement OEM driveshaft. I don't want to buy a used one (already been burned on that one) and I've already broken a stocker aluminum one. I'm not sure if I have enough room for a 3.5" due to DS loop and exhaust. Any good way to see if there is enough room for a 3.5" diameter DS? And are there any other options out there that can deal with a little more abuse than OEM? (yes I know the 10 bolt could go at any second but I don't want to spend 4k on a complete setup right now)

That's great guys, but what your trying to sell me is a 3.5" diameter driveshaft, and as I've already stated, I'm not sure I have enough room for that between the exhaust and the driveshaft loop. If you guys know of a good way for me to ensure that it will fit and not have any interference problems than I might be game. But I sure as hell don't want to waste 300-400 on something I can't use. Don't get me wrong I'm all for an aluminum ds, because I think it fits my applications best.

Thanks,
Brad

I've heard good things about chromemoly for high power applications. But I would like to stick with aluminum since I will be doing a mix of both drag racing and corner carving (road atlanta). That and I doubt I will ever be pushing more than 400 to the wheels. Thanks for the info!

I know how you feel. I am still trying to get my car up and running after my last drag strip adventure.... I broke my factory torque arm, damaged my factory driveshaft, and took three teeth off of my pinion. I then proceeded to curse profusely when trying to put my 3" true duals back on after I had installed new parts. The duals were hitting the new torque arm way before i could get them high enough to bolt them in place, so I ordered a set of pacesetter longtubes, ory, and had a shop extend that over the axle and into a magnaflow and dump it right after that.
