Default Midwest housing crossmember mount question

I have the short arm with the safety loop. My question is for the front mount for the tq arm. Is the 4 hole mount supposed to be jammed up against the crossmember?? When I get it roughed in it is straight up and down but then when I go to adjust the pinion angle it pushed that bracket/mount forward until it hits the crossmember. Didn't seem right to me so I figured I would ask. Thanks guys.

you probably need to shorten the adjuster link on the bottom, shorten the upper soild heim joint to get some pinion angle into it. also, the front heim in the torque arm should be screwed into the tube as far as possible. the upper solid heim is for coarse angle adjustment, the lower turnbuckle adjuster is to fine tune it. you also may need to adjust the lca's to get it all correct, depending on where your wheelbase is at and ride height. you can also move the torque arm into a different hole on the pivot link to help the pinion angle.

Wheelbase is stock but the car is lowered about an inch. I did notice a vibration over 80 so I will need to play with it some more. Thanks Eric.
