Default Going from 3.23 to 3.73. Is it enough?

I'm going to be purchasing some 3.73's for my A4 within the next few days. For those of you who went from 3.23's to 3.73's: Did you feel as if it was good enough? I could search all day long and I can't find a clear explanation as to how dramatic the difference was from 3.23 to 3.73. I'm looking for someone to give me an idea, and was it enough? Do you wish you went higher?

**If you went from 2.73, 3.42, or have 3.73's in a 6 speed, please do not chime in on this.**

It's a night and day difference man. I Daily drive my car more then I do track it and if I had gone 4.10's I would have been kicking myself. It will be a whole new car..You will love the 3.73 ratio with your A4!

Hey whats up Eddie? It's hard for me to remember but I think the car felt a decent amount better. I did the cam right after so its all fuzzy when I try thinking about it. For your setup I think some 3.73's would be a real wise choice. Anything higher would be too much IMO. The 3.73's even push my limits on the highway, couldn't imagine what some 4.10's would be like.

3.73 is as deep as I would be able to stand in an auto

I am pretty partial to 3.42 since I do lots of highway cruising

You're gonna love 3.73's, the tiny loss in MPG is more than worth it. I've had them for the last 30k, never looked back

3.23s' to 3.73s' will increase your torque to the axles by 15%,you'll feel it and love it.I went to 4.56s'(I'm old school)and they're staying in forever.I even travel Ohio to Florida with the 4.56s'.Go with the 3.73s'.

I too am contemplating going to a 373 over my 323's... Should compliment my RPM Level 4, Vig 3600 stall... Fairly inexpensive as well.

I don't see why everyone is so against 4.10's in an auto. I have a an auto with 4.10's and man do I love it!!!! I daily drive it and couldn't be happier. Keeps me from flying to high one the freeway. Sure my rpm's are a little high but I stay mostly on the streets since I don't travel alot. I guess more people are worried about MPG's. If so I'd get a honda and get it done with. We have V8's for a reason, Or so I think it's the reason...POWER!!! I had a 67 Camaro SS with a small 327>12.1 compression 2 SPEED POWER GLIDE!!! AND 4.11'S!!!!! Never felt better!!!! But then again, to each their own.... I'll never go back to the 3.73's and 3.42's, i'm not into going 180mph on the freeway. Just my two cents. And I don't mean to trash anyone but just giving my opinion to the OP. Have a nice day guys.

From what I understand, you can get 3.90's for a ten bolt. That would be a good compromise. Not sure which company makes it.
