Default Launching!!??!

Ok, so I just got a 12 bolt, (Moser 33 spline with 3.73 and a tru track) Just wondering what a safe yet effective launch is on this rear and a stock drive shaft. It is hard for me to get over being scared of launching the 10 bolt.

The best 60 I have ever had is a 1.9 on the car which as a result has only netted me a 13.0 in the 1/4.

I am hoping with the rear and the turbo (probably wont start with a 2 step) I can just skip the 12's but I guess what rpm and slip or dump will keep the car from bogging and actually get me out of the hole?

I like your style, but then that begs the question when does the tranny go? (m6) I think my clutch will keep me safe for the time being I don't think the ls7 will hold up to much.

The driveshaft will generally break long before the transmission. You could turn the stock driveshaft into a pretzel launching at 3000 rpm on sticky tires. Bob

With a stock t56 and a stock drive shaft I would have say that sounds like a bad new. I agree with bob with twisting the drive shaft, been there. Up grade the transmission, tickshift.com stage 2 kit, and a upgraded drive shaft. Then I would feel better bouncing it off the limiter to launch the car.

I'm on a stock M6, broke my stock driveshaft a long time ago, went out and got an LT1/3rd Gen steel driveshaft for $40 and launch my car almost 6K with no problems so far.

It is hard for me to get over being scared of launching the 10 bolt.
Once you launch that 12 bolt at 5-6K, you'll ask yourself why you didn't buy that as your first mod. It won't be hard at all.

I have a moser rear and twisted my stock driveshaft pretty easy on motor. I would replace it before i broke it and took the chance of messing up the trans. I went with PST from exotic

I have read LS7 clutches do not like multiple high RPM dumps on sticky tires, but as long as you don't hot lap it should be fine. I have yet to run sticky tires on this rearend, but I would love to dump the clutch at 6k! Damn school eats all my extra money for tires.

I've let my LS7 cool down for about 10-15 minutes before each run, then after about 4 runs I'll change the clutch fluid out for new, seems to help alot on my high RPM dumps.
