Default Do I need the GM rear axle additive?

I'm getting ready to change the fluid in my rear axle, I just got 2 quarts of Redline 75w90NS. The NS designation is supposed to mean "Non-slip" so do I really need the GM additive?

i dont think the torsen posi's of 99-up require posi additive since its a gear type posi with no clutches.
