i have oil leaking out of mine and dont have any idea as to what do do about a breather. what did you guys do?

I actually reamed my 10 bolt vent tube out with a very small drill bit and that allowed it to breathe.

on the moser 12 the vent tube is relocated to the left axle tube. its not a normal breather. more like a barbed fitting to put a rubber tube on for a remote vent or something

you have to run a piece of hose (3/8) i think, from the breather and up near the gas tank. find a good place and zip tie it. also make sure you have the right amount of gear oil in the housing. if you have to much even just a little extra, it will vent out the breather hose.

yup it is pretty retarded that they did that and put it right in the middle of the tube. good thinking.

i wish they wouldn't of tapped it and put it there.

yup. when i bought it rolled around in thew back of the truck and broke it off. (i bought it used)

Re-tap, and put in a barbed fitting (brass), get some rubber hose and a worm clamp as well as some zip ties, it just need to be higher then the hole.

I had this issue to...what type of fluid did you use and additive for your first fluid change OR what should we be using if it has a posi with 33 spline axle
