Default Ultimate 12 cover hitting

I tried the search and came up with nothing. I just put a LPW Ultimate 12 cover on my 12 bolt and i get a good noise going over healthy bumps. I see that it is contacting the brace that goes above the panhard rod. Has anybody else run into this, and if so how did you fix it. I was thinking of notching the brace, rewelding a reinforcement. I like the cover, it has a drain, and the cheap chrome cover that came with the rear always seeped, no matter what i did. This critter stays as dry as a bone. I also had another question posted i the manual tranny section that is interesing and might be gear related if those that read this care to share some insight. Thanks in advance.
