what's the difference between 31 spline to 35 spline

Default what's the difference between 31 spline to 35 spline

is there a big difference or it all depends on your setup?

My goal is 408 with pt88 or s91, what spline would work for me, its not DD i drive it 3 times a week , any advice would be appreciated thanks

4 splines LOL. I always wondered too man. I think they are both machined out of the same axle cores so the extra splines would be twist? You have more options when you go 35 spline and for your setup I wouldn't do 31's. I did 31's because I wanted to use a stock style clutch posi.

well from what i am hearing 35 spline is more heavy duty type like if i go to the track every week or so

They are and with what you are building I would skip right by 31's. For me my car will be a H/C/I car forever so 31's will work for me.

No reason to go with less splines unless:
a) extra cost
b) extra weight
b) you want a trutrac

If you cn do a locker or spool do 35 splines
