I need to know the driveshaft length required so I can buy a driveshaft that would be exact fit for my set up.

General rule is 1" longer. In my case I ordered a longer pinion yoke and used the stock length Strange DS I already had. More than one way to do it but if you are ordering new may want to just measure when it is in.

Well I'm trying to do this all in one shot because it requires a different U- joint and I'm looking to replace the other one anyway. What is the length on the stock driveshaft then?

My Chromoly Strange shaft is 41-5/8" long with my QP rearend. It fits but only has about 3/4" of slide travel before it bottoms out on the tranny yoke. Personally I'd like a bit more slide travel so if I ever ordered another one, I'd probably go with a 41-3/8". With the current DS, it just barely clears the rearend yoke when removing the DS, that's why I'd like another 1/4" of slide movement.

FWIW, I have a T56 with stock length LCA's and LCA relocation brackets installed.

1" longer would be way too much for a QP rearend. Stock shaft is around 41".

Alright, thanks for the help Mike, I'm going to move on the size you suggested, the 41 3/8". I know the stock shaft works with the 9" but its a little short so adding some to it doesn't hurt.
