how does this pattern look?first time gear set up

Default how does this pattern look?first time gear set up

here are a couple of pics can someone please tell me what i am doing wrong. the drive side looks good to me but the coast side stays low on the gear no matter what i try is this ok?

backlash is set at .010 any help would be great this is my first time setting up gears.

Pinion shim is very close if not dead on. I would try to move that pattern down just a bit toward the tooth root with a backlash adjustment. Its high on the drive side.

what is your recommended backlash?? i have always done mine per Motive spec and put it at .oo7.

IIRC, the Motive 9" spec is .008" - .012". Mine is currently at .012".
