You will need to swap the brakes and parking brake cables with each rearend. So if you take the rear end from your 95 and put it in your 98 you will need to bring the rear brakes and ebrake cables over as well.
Also you will need to make sure the ABS setup is the same between each rear end.
IMO it would probably be easier and cheaper to just purchase a set of 4.10s for the 98.

The only difference in the 2 rearends are the backing plates. LS1 cars have bigger brakes. So if you wanna use the ls1 brakes just change out the backing plates. You only wanna make sure its the same rearend, for example if yours is a non traction control abs rearend, then you need to find a non traction control rearend. If you not you can take the hub rings off each axle.
