Does ARB sell one? I know they make them for the 9", probably for the 8.8 too.

It'd be a cool idea, but I'd go with an electric locker instead.

One that goes from posi to full lock, instead of open to spool.

Go search for it, either here or on google.

You can use one with the 9'' but be prepared to pay for it

Ive been looking into this as well. As of now no one has a selectable locker available for the car 12 bolt. The 9" is covered. But i heard that a new electric locker will be comming out within the next couple of months. And i was told it will be the best design for stength. It is also probable that a car 12 bolt option will be released. I ve seen thes on many trail rigs and they work great and i think it would be a great idea/option for street/strip cars. As to the price yeah there more expensive than lockers or spools. But truck guys also have been using cable actuated lockers for years and i would think someone who has the resources available could make these work for the car 12 bolt and would be much more wallet friendly.

Air Lockers are badass in jeeps. Work wonders (I have a jeep). Don't know how they would be racing. Maybe a bit risky- they are designed for slow speeds....

thanks for the info hokie. i friend of mine asked me at work about the set-up and i couldnt give him an answer as i have never seen a thread covering the topic. i am still wet behind the ears when it comes to rear-ends and i have never looked into the electric ones before. i was just planning on a 9" with the detroit locker. are there any issues with these not disengaging when the power is let off? my friends truck stayed locked all the time and i dont want that in a daily driver? or is the electric locker the way to go? TIA
