Add me to the list of ppl in love with 4.10's
I bought a Timkin bearing kit, outer wheel bearings and seals, a TA Performance rear end girdle, and some GM 4.10's. And like most, I won't have it any other way from now on. I did a lot of research on peoples opinions of 4.10's and decided to go that direction. I couldn't be any happier! I know it puts a lot of strain on the 10 bolt but my car is the 3rd f-body to be in our immediate family and we made the other two 10 bolts last over 160,000 miles. My car has 92,xxx on it right now so it had a ton of life left but I figured I'd knock everything out while I was in there. I had TDP do all the work and everything is perfect and quiet. Just thought I'd share some more positive feedback.

that's what i hear.. our other 2 were m6's and seemed to do good. the car almost never sees the track. and the once in a blue moon that it does, it's on street tires and only make a couple passes. and i dont even dump the clutch. but hey, if it breaks ill just buy another one

can someone give a parts list with prices ? What else should I do while Im in there? cover? posi ? etc..
My car is strickly a street car and been thinking about adding 410 gears until it breaks. Been reluctant for awhile because I was afraid my rear end was going to just sanp with my ad-ons. So far it hasnt given me any trouble at all.

$154.95 - TA Performance Rear End Girdle
$23.00 - ARP Bearing Stud Kit
$119.00 - Timken Master Install Bearing Kit
$50.00 - GM 4.10 Gears (an absolute steal at that price. don't expect to find GM gears for that)
$28.95 - 3 Quarts of Lucas Oil 75w-90 Gear Oil (only needed two)
$6.00 - GM Limited-Slip Rear End Additive (that's with employee discount)
$225 - Texas Drivetrain Performance Labor for Complete Installation
TOTAL: $606.90 + any shipping charges and taxes
Again, you can get the parts cheaper used, and you can install yourself. I didn't mess with it bc TDP warranties the work they do and they've set up 1,000+ 7.5" 10 bolts...
