Default GM 10-Bolt Upgrades?

I know I know I know...Moser is better...9" is better...Dana is better..........but I dont have 2 grand to spend on something I dont ACTUALLY "need" yet.

I amo nowhere near 500 to the ground so I dont necessarily "need" a bad *** rear end...however I am still nervous about breaking this stock 10-bolt...SO

I am throwing in 3.73's, and I am gonna throw on a MAC Girdle...I want a little more support though.

I have seen people weld in Chrome-Moly tubing behind the rear end from axle to axle to provide extra support from bowing, bending, and breaking...Anyone know anybody who has done this? Anyone have blueprints or instructions or anything on how to do it? Anyone have experience with a similar setup on the track?

Please dont make comments about 12 bolts and dana's and 9" rear ends..I know they are better...I just cant afford that, and if this idea is a no go, I am not even going to consider an expensive upgrade like that, so please only ideas pertaining to the 10-bolt support or upgrade, and other ideas to reenforce the 10 bolt

dont drop the clutch and the ten bolt will live quite a while. Dropping the clutch and hooking is what destroys them.

Then make sure you've got friends with a trailer ready to take you home. . . .

You WILL break it eventually. I broke mine with 354/367 twice in 3 months.
