2 series carrier going from 2.73's to 4.10's on 25" tire. Will I need to have shift points redone? also How much gear oil and what type would you recomend richmond 4.10's. I tried briefly searching but am at work an extremelly time limited.

Yes you will need your computer tuned for the new gears. It'll be driveable it just may shift way too early. Usually 10 bolts hold about 2 quarts, especially when you rebuild and clean them out. Usually with just a gear oil swap it only takes about 1.5 quarts. I would just get whatever cheap 75-90 gear oil thats at the auto parts place.

Sure, worst case scenario I have seen is on WOT you might either bang the limiter or it will shift before time. Either way its not a big deal as long as you arent hard on it. Guy I know just swapped from 2.73s to 4.10s in an auto and he has been driving it for almost a month with very few issues except the fact that the speedo says 110 (factory speed limiter) when he is only going 70

Make sure for that price that he is willing to adjust and re-adjust until it's spot on. I know I had to redo mine about 5 times to get it accurate enough for my liking. Just plugging the gear change into CATS still left me a good 10% off.
