Default Do people give you S#!t about your gear choice?

I recently bought a 9" rear with 3.25 gears. At work & home, whenever I bring up the subject, I usally hear "get 3.73"s" or "you should have done this or that" B.S. Tonight by brother-n-law came over & I showed him my new 9" and all he could say is "why didnt you get 3.73's? you shuld of got...bla bla bla." Im tired of hearing it! Dont they realize ive been on tech almost every day for I dont know how long? Do they think im stupid? like I cant make my own decisions?
Do you get this B.S. too?

you shoulda bought 3.91's.......lol! Na people do not understand combo's and how different combo's need different gears. You wouldn't want a 4.11 on a turbo 6 speed car would ya?

There's just too many combos and people don't understand that.

400hp 1/4 Mi drag car (A): 3.73-4.11
400hp 1/8 Mi drag car (A): 4.11-4.56
400hp Autocross car (A): 3.42-3.73

800hp 1/4 Mi drag car (A): 3.23-3.42

and on and on. Purpose, Power, Power Band, Transmission, Tire Size ALL play into gear selection.

You have to remember all most people know about cars is a 4bbl Holley, 3/4 Cam, Edelbrock Manifold, and a 4-Bolt 350 with 4.11 gears. You'd be suprised how many (usually older people, but sometimes not) ask me if that's what i've got in my 2002!!!! Camaro.
