Default Switching from LT to LS backing plates?

Getting ready to install my ls1 backing plates on my Moser 9". Can somebody walk me through pulling of the lt1 backing plates that are on there now and installing the ls1 ones? Do I need to cut off the bearings and get new ones pressed on?

you need to cut the press ring off and the bearing will need to be pressed off which usually damages it. then you need to put your new backing plates on and press on a new wheel bearing and press ring.

Where can I get those bearings? At any parts store or do I need to go through Moser? About how much do those run?

Go to a parts store and ask for bearings for a 1975 Ford Pick Up 9 inch. Bob

i'm lookin at my nine inch and my stock rear and tryin to figure out how all this is gonna work...the reluctor rings look like they would almost fit right on the moser axles(pressed on of course) and i'm tryin to figure out how everything such as the emergency brakes, backing plates and all that good stuff is going to transfer over. do i need to open up my 7.5" rear and take the c clips and axles out and pull everything? will it all transfer over to the 9"?
