Default I need a 9"!

Someone help me out here. It's time for me to purchase my 9" rear, and I've been talking to a sponsor here on the board about getting one (they'll remain unnamed unless they recognize who I am and would like to chime in) and they've been very helpful, but I haven't heard from them in about a week. I'm ready to buy a 9", my car is a 2000 Z28 without the TCS option, it is a 6 spd. I need something that's going to handle around 600 rwhp. I need long wheelstuds for track use. I need 4.10 gears. Sponsors, or someone who has one for sale that's in good shape, hit me up. I also need a Driveshaft and I could use a torque arm. Shoot me a PM or post up on this thread. Thanks!!

I don't know who you talked to, but I can help you out. How much in town driving do you do? The reason I ask is because I would either go with a spool, a Wavetrac, or a locker for 600 rwhp. The spool is going to be the cheapest and one of the strongest routes to take.
Check out this link. http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com....html?item=148 Let me know if you have any questions. Bob

The car is just going to be a weekend car, so I'm not too concerned about overall driveability. Checking out link now. Thanks Bob.

Also Bob, what torque arm do you recommend? I'm afraid I'm not so knowledgeable about rear ends and suspension...

Check on Midwest Chassis fab. 9" too, they're strong, cheap, and look badass. Plus they come with a torque arm of your choice, crossmember, free assembly, and free shipping.

loose traction control...it aint worth keepin, I went with Bob at EPP, great support and easy to deal with. But you cant go wrong with any of the sponcers, youll get nothing but positive responces. Only thing I would have done different would have been a fab 9 or m9...just for looks though

No TCS on the car brotha. Never wanted, never needed lol. Yeah, I'm having some problems deciding, but I'm being presented with some good options, which I really appreciate from the sponsors on the board!

If you go with a standard nine inch, the BMR TPU001 Trak Pak works out really well. http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com....html?item=171 Bob

Bob,
That's the exact one I was looking at! Thanks for your input. I'm still working out buying the rear, I've just been extremely busy as of late (who would think they'd make you work on a deployment?!! lol).

I got mine from EPP. I would talk to Bob if I were you.

Not in the car yet...

Its got:
3.25 gears
Locker
35 spline axles
LCA relocation brackets
drain & fill holes
sway bar brackets
long wheel studs
I dont even have enough power to warrent this rear lol! But, my POS stocker is making noise & i havent put a dime into it. I love that I was able to get all the options I wanted on it. Thanks Bob!

About $2800 - $2900 I forget. But mine has options you might not need...
Either way, youre gonna may big $ for this rear. Unless you find a used one from a member wich Ive never found, but it still might not have all the options you want on it. Midas well get what you want...

I agree there, if you going to spend this much money you might as well do it right. Mine's built to handle 5 times the power I'm making, but at least I'll never have to worry about it again. I was just asking because you could have got an MWC 9" for about that.

I'm looking to get a MWC 9", but Eric has been a hard man to get ahold of this week, calling him isn't so much of an option for me from Iraq, it's hard to call anyone on the schedule I'm on right now. Hopefully I can order one from him soon so I can get my project rollin again...

I just ordered mine this monday from Eric at MWC. Couple things to consider is his Fab is very light and strong and come with a serious TQ arm. Mine was just under $3000 shipped with a spool and upgraded strange centre and upgraded pinion support.

The moser housing is pretty heavy when compared to a fab 9"

I did look at the moser M9 it would have been my second choice.

Yes, I spoke with Eric a few weeks ago over email, and I've spoken to him over PMs here as well. I know he's very busy, and LSx Shootout is this weekend so he's probably got his hands full at the moment, so I'm just waiting to hear back from him so I can give him my money and get the 9" rolling. Pretty excited about it.... I decided to go w/ 3.89 gear, 35 spline axles, full spool, lengthened wheelstuds, lca relocation brackets, of course the tq arm and xmember, etc etc. Anyone think of anything else I'm going to need??
