Default Snap!!

So had a GREAT night at the track!!!

1st pass, I left real soft, only at about 2900, pulled a 11.9, was pretty happy with it, so I wanted to see what I could really do for round 2...

That didnt happen!!! I got a GREAT burnout, felt like all the cards were falling in my favor for once, so I took her up to 4500, and let out alittle on the clutch to "load" it up alittle without letting her break the beams.. and lights drop............ and there I am beating the $h*t out of my steering wheel!!!

The little 10 bolt, with nothing more than just some motive gears and new bearings that I installed, held up for just about one year worth of punishment!!

Funny thing is, I snapped an axle, I was kinda expecting to crack open the cover, and see the ring gear in like 1000 pieces, or the carrier looking like a bomb went off, but no.. just the driver side axle pulled right out, with the c-clip still hangin out inside the diff..

Well for anyone running a 10 bolt with power it is kind of crazy to not do axles when it is apart. It needs every available piece to even think about surviving! So question is will you put Moser axles in and roll the dice again or upgrade?

I would rather, just go with a 9", or 12 bolt, so I dont have to roll the dice, but if I cant find a DEAL on one, I am going too see what a locker, and moser axles can really handle.. LMAO.. The ring and pinion are in great shape still, and I have done this all once before, but I know alot of people have broken atleast 3 of these 10 bolts before going to something strong. My stand point is that this is my daily driver, not my track car, I am buildin my lil Nova to take over all the track duties, and then I might take this out a couple times a year, next year, to see if she still has it, ya know?

I hear ya! I don't trailer mine and beat it like it owes me money so wanted to make sure I didn't take out a quarter or the whole car and swapped a MWC 9" in. I just got back from beating the **** out of it some LOL. Wed is track night and it is getting another helping of a beating!
