Default Moser 12-bolt questions...

My buddy is swapping a Moser 12-bolt into his 02 Camaro and we just had a quick question.

Is the pinion flange on these rear ends the same as the 10-bolt? Meaning, will the factory driveshaft bolt right up, or do we need to change the flange on the driveshaft.

Also, does the driveshaft need to be shortened or will stock length work?

Stock length driveshaft works, and the 12 bolt probably has a 1350 yoke, so you will need a Napa 447 conversion u joint. Bob

I'm hoping the driveshaft in the car uses the same u-joint as the stock driveshaft. It's a steel driveshaft for the th400 conversion.

Thanks for the part number. I'll have to take this one out and match it up with that conversion u-joint.

I did the same conversion, just had a local shop put a 1350 ujoint in it and it bolted right in. I was concerned the stock length was push in too much on the trans (putting it in a bind) so I had a shop shorten my trans yoke 1in. Made it alot easier to get in and out.
