So is there any way to get an open diff yo posi besides welding the spider gears or would it be possible to take guts out of a posi and put it into a posi

Take a posi carrier that would fit in your rear end, and swap it in.

welding the differential side and pinion gears would create a spool not a posi. Your best bet is to find a case out of a wrecked car.
