Default thinking about buying some 4.10's have some questions

Around how much would a shop charge to install gears in my 10 bolt? Will my speedo need to be recalibrated? Can it be done with the HP Tuners program? Can my rear still last a long time with 4.10's I dont think I'll ever have the money for a 12 bolt, but I dont go to the track, I rarely do dig races and I usualy baby my car

not sure but i think you will need to recalibrate for the gears(speedo) 4.10s are an awesome choice and your rear will last just as long as the stockers. you might look into a rear end girdle i know im thinking of installing one.

I also dont plan on bigger tires or drag radials I know thats asking for trouble, I want my 10 bolt to last as long as it can. anybody have an idea on the labor cost of installing gears?

prolly $250-$500 depending on the shop. Yes HPTuners can recalibrate your speedo.

Is there a break in period for new gears?

generally yes there is a break in period usually the first 500 miles be easy some people go 750, i went 400 before my pinion bearings went, also you would be looking at the higher end of the price spectrum around 500 bucks pending on the shop hourly rate and twhat the charge for shop supply!
