4:10 Install In Stock Rear End I put a .030 shim on the pinion and used the old shims for the carrier. i have done this about 15 times on other vehicles when replacing stock gears with 3:73's but have never installed 4:10's. i am having a problem once i put the carrier in the pinion get really tight and wont hardly turn. has any had to use a smaller shim on the pinion. i have aslo hear of a paddle kit but i dont know what that is exactyl. just need some advice
