Default 10 bolt rear problems never end for me!!!!!!!!!!!

Recently i had to get the rear rebuilt due to the bearings and other stuff going bad. The rear would howl when i let off the gas and quiet down when i got back on it. So after the rebuild the rear didn't howl but it made a slight whinning noise. So i get home and notice a burning smell. I looked under the car and the oil was leaking from the pinion seal and getting on the exhaust. So i take the car back to the shop to tell him what's going on. He says due to those bearings that went bad caused the gears to have grooves on them or something like that......which made the whining sound. As far as the leak it was the seal. So i pick the car back up today and drive it for like maybe less than a mile from the shop and the car surged one time as if i put on brakes. Soon as that happened a horrible grinding noise starts as if the drive shaft was rubbing against the car. It also sounded like something came loose. So back to the shop i went doing like 10 mph. The rearend cover was very hot.......hotter than the muffler. Any ideas on what this problem could be. I'm in need a of a 12 bolt real soon. Tired of this 10 bolt!!!!!!!!!!

Look under your car and see if the rear has 10 bolts. If it does you found the problem

Really nothing wrong with 10 bolt as long as your prep and assemble it right.

They all get hot to a degree but not like you are saying. Sound like maybe your bearing/races or gears are bad. Possibly too much preload.

I won't tell you prep or assemble it right will make it suitable for a pounding. They are just not heavy duty rears.

This can happen to any rear end even the "junk" 10 bolt
