I was thinking about buying one and swapping out the gear for some gears that are more gas frienldy since it would DD.

The rear is easy to do, have done gear swap on them before. I am lost when it comes to the front diff. Are they the same gear set up as the rear, like 3:42's or do they come in different sizes.

Any help would be great

If you have 3.42s in the rear then you have 3.42s in the front also if its stock.

don't all tbss have 410?
installing front should be pretty similair to rear, you just have cv shafts instead of internal axles

of the regular tb's I've sold in the past all had 373 or 410

I just did not know any thing about front axles on those vehicles.
