10 bolt with t/a cover
i know the 10 bolt questions gotta get old. i know its gotta go, i have big plans for the car. im just tryin to get an idea on a time frame. im fairly new to these cars. i was wondering about the t/a cover. how much do those actually help the rear end? the car is dropped 2 inches on slp springs, and has slp subframe connectors. it has 4.10s. im not sure about hp, but compared to some friends cars, its most likely high 12s. its ok for now, i just have street tires, so it just spins. i was just wondering if the rear end will have any chance when i put a cam and dr's on it in the next couple months, or if i need to set money back for a 9 inch?

10 bolt/4.10/m6/dr' even before cam, JUST my $0.02 I do not think the 10 bolt has a chance of lasting.
I will add I am still on a 10 bolt ( have a 9 in ready on the ground ready to go in.)
my A4/10 bolt/ta cover/detroit locker/3.73/ mos axels/welded tubes/mt drag radals/air bags/adjust, ta on body mount/relocate brackets/adjust lca/MID- 11'

Autos will hold up a lot better, because it preloads the drivetrain. us WAY COOLER (<3) m6 guys get the shaft as far as breaking the rear. When I put gears in mine im NOT going stickies till i have a 9" sitting in my driveway

The T/A cover will help it survive. Like most have said, it comes down to the driver. I've ran a best of 11.07 @ 129mph with mine on MT et streets but that was on a 1.85 60'. If gone low 1.70's on mine but never dump the clutch.
It basically all comes down to when you plan on upgrading rear ends and tires. If those are a ways down the road, the TA cover will help the 10 bolt survive
