Question some help or options

i have a 88 camaro with a stock 2.73 limited slip rear end. I would like to go with a 3.73 or 4.10 ratio and posi . Would it pay off better to put new gears in or put a new rear in. If it helps the motor i'm building should only be about 425-450 horsepower and will only see limited track use.

The 82-up 10 bolt rear is a very weak unit. If the car is an automatic you stand a chance of it holding up, with a manual transmission forget it. Bob
