500 hp build. Any suggestions?
This is my first 4th gen build so I'm new in this area. I'm used to building older muscle cars and trucks. I just finished the engine and trans now im to the rear end. Car is going to be a daily driver but should be making 450-500 to the wheels. I know the stock ten bolt won't last long so Im just looking for suggestions. Can i build the ten bolt back beefed up and make it work or am i just pissin in the wind with it? The car is a 2001 b4c stock displacement ls1 full of all kinds of go fast goodies, fully built 4l60e with all the upgraded guts and a tci3600 stall. It will be a street car but it will be driven pretty hard with a 100 mile round trip commute every weekend. Any suggestions?

I've seen some automatic equipped F Body's manage to keep the rear together in one piece. I've seen many more go home on a wrecker.
Below is a link to the Moser 9 inch that I sell.

Here is a link to the Moser M9, which is their fabricated rear. It weighs the same as your 10 bolt! With the backbrace it is very strong, and it comes with an awesome torque arm and transmission crossmember. http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...html?item=1324

S60 from strange. Nice and strong, cheaper than a 12-bolt and just a bolt-in. Most say it stays quiet, but some have experienced a little whining around 40-50 mph. This rear will take anything you throw at it.

I went with a Moser 9in from bob and its been under the car for 2 years with no problems at all, bolted right in also. The only thing I would do differently now, would be a fabbed 9" thats narrowed....but thats all involved in the evolution of modding
An M9 or Fabbed 9" will easily be your best choice both are lightweight and moooooore then enough for strength

For Strange I would to ByunSpeed (sponsor) they got a really easy online order page and a price match guarantee, or ls1speed.
Heres the link to LS1Speed
