Exclamation Attention Strange Driveshaft Owners...

I have a 3" Chrome alloy driveshaft from strange 27 spline with the 1350 series U-joints front and back. Does anyone have any problems with the install? I installed mine and had to use a rubber mallet to get it to slide on. It did slide on at first easy for like a inch or 2, then had to use the mallet. Did anyone else have this issue? Is it suppose to be like that?? how many others experience this??

There was no gunk on the yoke that I know of also I don't think there was on the output shaft either. I had some drive line work done at GM and they had to pull the driveshaft out and said that it was too tight and it should not be like that.. Now this is a guys that has 20 yrs experience.. I called strange and they said they would clean up the splines on the yoke.. The guy at GM said they just needed to clean up those splines on the yoke..

Check your splines for being twisted. I had this same problem a couple weeks ago and could not get it figured out. I bet your yoke splines are twisted. I had to upgrade to the chromoly one with only 10 passes.

I'm gonna pull it off this weekend and check it out. I believe that the yoke was forge It had kinda of an antidize finish to it. I also called strange and they said to just send back the yoke and they would take care of it.. Keep you guys updated..

Good luck getting strange to cover it. You might need to get the chromoly setup if you twisted the standard splines.
