Default Can U use the M9 on the street?

Ok, now I'm hearing something from my Tuner...
He said he talked to a guy at Moser, and he said the M9 is not to be used on the street? Is this true?

The M9 can be used on the street, it just isn't the most street friendly setup. If you're looking for a perfectly quiet, mannerful setup, look at the regular Moser 9". The M9 was built for 10 second and faster cars.

The Moser 9" isn't any more streetable than the M9, you either buy a torque arm with rod ends or poly ends, you either have a locker, posi, spool or whatever is in the rear end, it's either a street or pro gear, that's what makes it more or less streetable, the M9 and Moser 9" use the exact same center section and use different torque arms, besides that neither is more or less streetable.

The M9 comes with a rod end torque arm, a lot of people drive Moser 9" with rod end torque arms, so both would be as streetable or unstreetable, depending on what you consider streetable.

If you really wanted you could have a poly bushing put on the torque arm and have the bracket widened to accept it then it would be as streetable as anyother rear end, can you drive a rod end torque arm on the street, sure a lot of people do, will it have more vibration or road noise, yes, will you care? That's up to what you consider ok when you're driving it.

You can use any rear end on the street, would you try to put 50k miles on a pro gear set, probably not, will you be able to put 100k on a M9 rear end with a street gear and a posi, sure, you may have to clean, grease and replace a rod end on the torque arm but besides that nothing will wear out faster than any other rear end.
