honestly... if you are gonna autox with the car, and see track use, i would opt for the clutch posi. the truetrac is good, but is prone to breakage in a M6 car. I offer a few different options on any 9 inch center section you want and at great prices. pm me with what you want and i'll give ya a quote.

I have the clutch Trac-Loc with the billet cover. So glad I didn't go spool or Locker. It silent, does what you want and positive as crap. 400 RWHP so far through it.

spool - both wheels locked together 100% of the time no matter what. not that great for a car with low profile tires, or that will see alot of inner city driving/parking lots
locker - lock wheels together together under acceleration, but allows them to turn at different speed when turning, also, being you have a 6spd, it can randomly lock/unlock on deceleration, and cause some grinding when downshifting cause of the slack/play within the locker.
posi - will supply traction to the wheel with the most traction & will also let the wheels turn at different speeds when turning. smoothest engagement

is the car mainly auto crossed? how much street time/dd? what size tires?

its sounds like you'd be better off with a posi unit of some kind

Since its along the same lines what do you guys recommend for a 100% street car in the 400-500 rwhp range? I hear truetrac is junk.

Nice but a tad of overkill for 35 spline axles and that HP level and the $1000 price tag doesn't help

I like the Truetrac and have had nothing but good luck with them

I looked at the wavetrac but cannot justify the cost.

Not sure there is one really. I mean it comes for 35 spline axles so I imagine high, and it also has a lifetime warranty along with the $1000 price tag. For people with very high horsepower cars that need a diff instead of a spool it might be well worth it

I know that the wavetrack is new, but what type of application would the it be used for? I also need something that can hold 600 tq consistently on the street and once or twice a year at the track, sorry op but I hope the answer to this also helps u out

you would be using it for the same reasons i am. i drive on the street mostly but i wanted something the stand up to 600 hp+ launching on slicks droping the clutch at 7000...i was told to get this and hell if you break it its warranted for life no mater how you use it

I had a conversation with Eric at MWC and he was telling me that the Posi Trac-Loc will handle 700-750rwhp no problem in a M6. Its the old school Ford Posi Trac-Loc but has been revised with a new billet cover. The only down side is that the 3-channel ABS can't be used with this unit.

You mean 3-channel? I have a 4-channel rear with the Trac-Loc and I have full function including ABS.
