Default Broken lug stud help!!!!

Ok so I have a 02 ls1 ta auto with traction control. OK here is my problem I lost my rear driver side wheel the other day on the freeway. I have 4 broken studs. I cannot figure out how to replace them without taking the rear end apart. I have had a mechanic look at it and he said the same thing. I cant remove the lug because the abs sensor wheel is in the way. Does anyone know how to change these out??? I dont have the money to upgrade to another axle so I am stuck fixing this. My mechanic said he can do it for 120 labor, 25 for lugs and studs, and he said that my abs sensor is broke so 109 for that, and that i might have messed up an axle shaft. I also found a new 10 bolt out of a fire hawk for 300 should I just buy this and put it in? i am lost any help with be great.

thanks

You should be able to pull out the sensor and pound the studs out and get them through that hole, when I put 3 1/2 in studs on my car I didnt remove the axle or anything.

I'm having the same problem, can't figure out how to replace the studs without pulling out the axles. My car doesn't have traction control so no sensor there.

Just hammer them and they'll come out. I didn't think they'd clear when I did mine either, but they do.

Like stated, remove the sensor then drive the broken lug studs out with a hammer through the sensor location. Then use an old lug nut to pull the new ones through the hole. Ive done it on my 98 Trans AM twice.

I don't have traction control, so no sensor there.
