Detroit Locker Question

Detroit Locker Question Hi Guys,
I just put my nine inch in and was wondering what "normal noise" from a locker is. In a mild turn I can hear it racheting and I think it sounds pretty cool. However, in a tight turn it will bang and pop real loud. If this is normal then I have no problems with it. I just want to make sure mine is not messed up. Thanks,

Its a 31 spline. Mine probably has a heavier spring. I got it off ebay. It has been lightened and coated inside and out. It had a ring gear pressed on it before but it had never been run. I have not driven the car much as I am having exhaust run on monday and open headers draws a bit of attention from the coppers. I did drive to mcdonalds earlier though lol. I was down at a differential place picking up my front E Locker for my truck and I was checking out some cut-aways they had of the detroit lockers they had. I guess the difference between the soft locker and the regular one is the the teeth on the soft locker don't have to engage every time they pass each other in the soft locker, so less noise is heard. I guess it's kinda hard to explain over the internet.
