I took a slight chance buying the Wavetrac since it's pretty new to the market but I figured with the lifetime warranty I'd give it a try. I'll keep you posted though.

I have a Currie 9 inch with 35 spline axles and Detroit Locker. Its way more rear end than my stock 6.0 needs, but I have big plans and I only wanted to buy one rear end. I HATE the Detroit locker. It has 60 degrees of backlash which causes insane tire chatter if my drag radials spin off the line. If you google, detroit locker wheel hop, one will find the internet is full of people with the same complaint with the detroit locker. I want to change it out for the WaveTrac.
Do you have any backlash issues with the wavetrac?

The Wavetrac has no backlash problems at all. With the locker you're suppose to do a dry hop before you pull up to the starting line. This should eliminate the tire chatter you're experiencing. Bob

Thanks for the good info... Forgive me, I ran my first pass down the dragway a year ago. Can you explain what a "dry hop" is and how to do it? Thanks so much!

After you do the burn out in the water box to heat up the tires and are heading up to the starting line, stop and rev it up a little and dump the clutch enough to get the back tires to spin a little. This should ensure the locker is engaged. Bob

I know I will have to get a better 3rd member next year and I have decided on the 9 inch. As the OP said I don't like the 12 bolts T/A mounts.

Any idea what type of diff would be good for corner carving? I know the locker is out of the questions.

Nice looking car!

I'd go with the Wavetrac, I have info on it at this link. Bob https://www.brutespeed.com/rear_end_information.htm

Good to see man. Nice install. I just did my Moser 9 inch a few months back, and love it. 31 spline, Locker, Strange aluminum center, Sphoon chromoly DS. Just hit up the track with 27x11.5x15 Hoosier QTPs. Launching at 6000 on a 150 wetshot. Cut a 1.52 and a 1.56 60'. Check it out.

Yup, I've made about 12 runs with it so far.

I finally got around to working on my rear the last couple of days. Took out the center section and installed a new gasket with silicone sealant. I haven't been able to drive it yet to see if it still leaks. I also beat in the tunnel a little more and raised the LCA to the second from the top hole. I also grinded a little where the bottom tq arm bolt goes to so it's not rubbing on the sway bar.

Why did you raise the lower control arms? Bob
