Default Anyone with similar set up? What gears are you running?

Hey guys, I read the stickies and searched a little bit on the forums and couldn't really find anything that satisfied me in terms of an answer so I will open it up here.

My car and mods are in my sig, car redlines at 7000 rpm but don't really want to push it much over 6600ish with the stock internals, I have been to the Fbody gear calculator and have a couple of ideas but was just wondering what you all are running with a similar set up and what your results are.

First of all I will be running on a 28" tall tire at the track, and I will be hitting the car with a 100-150 shot this summer, for the sake of the suggestions lets just assume the 150. From the gear calculator it looks like I would have room up to 136mph @ 6700 on a 4.11 gear and still have a decent ride home to the parents in 6th gear. I also want to run this car N/A as well which is why I want to go a bit steeper on the gear. I don't believe I want to go any over a 4.11, but would possibly consider a 3.90. Any other options or opinions?

Thanks,

Jeff

With a 6 speed and 28" tires you should be fine with 4.11s, in an automatic you have to allow for converter inefficencies but you don't need to worry about that. If you're putting this in the 10-bolt I'd go with 3.73s or 3.90s because the pinion gear gets a little bigger for a little extra strength.
