My car has a Moser 12 bolt in it that needs rebuilt.. I believe it has a shot pinion bearing. While I have it out of the car I'll be replacing all of the bearings and seals.

My question is, does it use standard 12 bolt parts or do I need to get the parts from Moser? I bought the car with the rear in it, so I don't know what year it is or any other info on it. It's an eaton posi, though.

I called Moser today, and he told me it uses standard 12 bolt bearings... and all of them are the same.

Next question is, I always thought the 12 bolt was an 8.5 rear. Everywhere I search for parts (parts stores, jegs, etc) shows 12 bolt as an 8.785 rear?

7.5s and 8.5s are 10-bolts. 12s are 8.875.
