Default 10bolt replacement

Finally, I have the means to get a LS3 427 SS crate from mast motorsports and a stage 2 4L60E from performabuilt. I may take it to the track every now and then but not too often. I won't beat up on it all the time but I want it to be able to be streetable and have the power with it. So anyways, u guys think it would be ok to keep the 10bolt on the car making that kind of power? It seems like silly question but I'm seeking advice based off of u guys personal experience.

Even without taking it to the track, you may not break it but you will surely stretch and twist it when you get into the go fast pedal hard which will make it noisy. If you don't mind servicing it from time to time by reseting the backlash or replacing the gears then you can take a shot.

Truth be told you might actually get away with the 10 bolt for a while even under that power. The problem is that it will ALWAYS be in the back of your mind -- "better be easy because I could tear it up", etc. Slapping a 9" or 12 bolt rear would certainly give you a bit more peace of mind.
