Default Has any one tried removing the tq arm and installing an upper center control arm?

I tried searching with no luck. I was wondering the other day how I was going to try to run true duals and then Light bulb!! I would have a lot more room with out the torque arm in the way. Yes it is a durr situation.

I'm wondering if it would be possible to install a center upper control arm and delete the torque arm?

Then run the exhaust on both sides of the drive shaft and be able to tuck it up a little more for clearance?

Any ideas, advice or the link to the thread that already discusses this that I couldn't find would help. Thanks.

this is from a company that when under a few years back, it a mustang 3 link convesion kit. a friend of mine and myself played around with this idea for 8.8 swaps, much safer (imho) that the welded on torque arms.

Watts link is for deleting the panhard bar and keeping the rear end centered during changes in vehicle height.

1BAD01TA - That could work but it looks a little more complicated. I was thinking more along the lines of just 2 brackets and a center link.

So no body has ever thought about or tried it?
